LO1: Analysing excisiting graphic design for media products

The pusrpose of the Yorkshire cosplay con posters are to inform people about the event that is taking place. This has displayed the year tis is taking place the people you can meet and also the games you can play whilst being at the convention.

Some of the featured products that will be available at the convention will be to be able to meet some of the charaters from power rangers and voice over charcters from anime. Also the oppertunity to meet new people and have time.

Content

The photographs that are used in the posters are to promote the company to show the events that are taking place in the convention. This shows the sponsors who are involed and also the dates of the event.

  The typography used in the film trailer is a sans serif font as his is easy o read because this a blod text.

The colours used in the posters are following the same house style colours throughout the campign
 to keep the conventions the same.
 The Logo used has a comic theme to suit the
 genre of the company.

With the photograhs there is not much bleed in
some of them because some of them are showing
 the the atmosphere of the places others have no
bleed in between the photographs as they are
showing the cosplay in action.

The kering in theletters is spaced out in the information so this isclear to see what dates
 are happening when.


With the lines in between the company logos are important as they give the reader a chance to look at the company and to see what they offer.

There is white space in these images because this is to attract you to the main campaign to not lead you in other direction you just focus on main campaign.

The anchoridge on the first Image is used so it's not over too much of the images but enough so you can see the text.

Style 

The connotations of this campign to promote the product for the Yorkshire cosplay convention say the dates of the convention what sort of genre this is mainly looking into cosplay genres like anime or even powerangers. The Idea of this promotion of the main poster with the logo is to show the event off with the people who have been and expeienced the event before. 

Layout 

 The layout of the main cover of Yorkshire Cosplay convention shows the main logo in the middle of the poster as this is to promote the product and when looking at this this is promoting the convention

Target Audience 

This event is based on people who are interseted in fantasy non fiction books ad television programmes. I would say that this is based on 8 - 45 year olds mainly because this is the age range in which these genres pan out to. I see the spending power as B, C1 and C2  mainly becuase of the ticket price and the merchendise and this would also be middle to working class.



Regulaltion 

The ASA advertsing standards authority are to make sure that there are no harmful, missleading or offensive language used in the promotion of the products but also no vulgar showing of anything innapropriate for the magazine.


Purpose of the glastonbury campaign is to promote the music festival by using lists of bands/artist and get people to go.


Some of the features of the Glastonbury music festival promotions are the names of the bands/artist that are playing you have also got a main poster to advertise the music festival. There are also jumpers available as a main feature of the festival to make you remeber what a good day it was or weekend.

The photograph used in the campign to promote the Glastonbury music festivalused by the mirror to promote the festival by showing the biggest artists in the world Chris Martin this is a benifit for those who love to listen to these amazing singers and also to see what other bands are performing at the festival.

The typography used on these photographs are sans serif fonts because this is bold and easy to understand so the reader.

The colours used in the logo and the poster have the same colour scheme of blue, red, yellow, green, pink and white and this is to make it vibrant and attractive.

The Logo used for the glastonbury music festival is bright and vibrant making this attractive to those looking at this and with this also having key information on it like the year and the dates of the festival and also where the festival is taking place.

With the bleed between the images of adele and chris martin amd also the people in the crowd and the main poster are not on top of eachother so they all get a bit of space on the poster to not overcrowd it meaning that we can see people in the background enjoying themselevs also the poster of all the bands/artist who are performing at the festival and the performers themselves.

 The style of the conventions for the glastonbury festival show what sort of festival this is (music festival) With the colours used this will promote the to the audience what acts are performing also the style of the font and the colour is very vibrant attracting this to the target audience.

 The purpose of reading festival in to entertain but also to promote and educate because going to the festival it's self will be entertaining with all the live music available with all the posters and the logos and the poster of the band names will promote the festival and this will educate you to go and listen to some of the bands you may not of heard of.

The format of these products are the fact that you can see who is performing at the festival on the main yellow poster and then from the smaller poster this actully has a photograph of the red hot chili peppers. Another benifit of this package is the fact that depinding on if your ticket is a day ticket or a weekend ticket depends on how many bands you see.

The only photograph used in the promotion of the reading/leeds festival is the poster with t the red hot chili peppers and on this this shows them having fun lauging and smiling which will benifit people in the way that when they are on stage it will be fun to watch them but they are also representing the festival itself and also by looking serious this means that they will rock on stage.

The typography for logo are standard sans serif fonts as they stand out bold meaming this is easy to read for those who have bever heard of this festival. What I also love about the typograpy on the poster with all the bands names is the fact the bands names who are more well known than others have their typoraphy used.

 The colours used in the logo and in the poser all foolow the same colour scheme of yellow, red and standard black for the writing of the text they have left this plain and simple to make sure the reader is not put off by the amount of colours yes the yellow is very vibrant but it also stands out well on black making this more attractive to people reading this.

The bleeding of the photograph is at the top and gives segregation between the photograph and the font which is between the logo meaning you can see the photograph at the top and then the text below.

The Kerning of the space between the letters are spaced out well as this is easy to read the text spacing is very well segregated. What helps is the fact the text is all in capital letters so the spacing is enough to read the words.

Some of the examples of leading that are shown in the main yellow poster is reasonably small however this is so they can fit all the bands on but also making it easy to look at and read the text.

The white space in the posters and logos are to make sure that the text and the photographs have space to been seen not over shadowed.

Style

The conventions of the music festival for reading and leeds festival say about what acts are going to be performing at the fesival and also the genre of music which is pop and indie pop and rock which is what the music festival.

On the main poster of the names of acts has the layout of the logo at the top of the page as this is the first place that you would look on the poster as you would usaly read from top to bottom.

The Purpose of Radio 1's big weekend posters and merchendise is to promote and inform. This is so you can see who is performing and this will inform you.

The format of this package that can benifit you are the facts that you have a very colourful wristband which wil look cool on your wrist and also the oppertunity to buy a new T-Shirt to say you went to this festival enjoyed it and will have good memories from this.

The Content in which is included from the package is a photograph of where the event is taking place so this is also known as the location which is a wide shot to show the castle of where it is going to be.

The typography used is a sans serif font as this style of text is bold and easy to read for those who choose to read it. It also has its own style of font for the T-Shirt design to make it uniuqe and stylish.

The colours used are very out there colours very vibrant so this is attracted for the audience when they see it. Some of the colours used are light blue, dark blue, light blue, orange and red.

The anchoridge of the text on the photograph is above the image as this is a more suited place to put it where this is also to do with white space the empty space on the product  to make the most of it but also to show what stands out more on the product.

Style 

The conventions on the style of this campaign is to promote the product in the way that you can see when the dates are where it is and also the names of the acts that are performing will encourage the target audience of 18 plus

Layout 

The layout of the poster has the logo at the top of the page as this is where you would look first when looking at the poster because this is the biggest text on the page and is more likely to read this first and then read down the page

Target Audience 

The target audiemce for this music festival will be around 14 plus as the bands that are playing are those of a pop culture which is relatable to the bands like Bastille and one republic.

The Purpose of the tramilnes festival is to promote the campaign of the music festival as this camapaign is also for the entertainment purposes of the music side of the campaign. 

The format of this camapign which leads to two benifits are the fact when you buy a wekkend ticket you are then available to get a wristband as this means you do not have to continue to show your ticket and this will be a cool collectable to have. You can also go and buy yourslef a t-shirt as this will be a good memory to have and to look back at what a good day out it really was. 

The photographs used in the campaign to promote the campaign of Tramlines show a wide shot of the musicians performing to show them onstage and what they can be like when tey perform at tramlines how ever there is anchoridge used over the posters where the text is over the top of the photograph. 


There is white space used in these two posters as if it was to be all filled out with text this would be too much information however because of the white space this allows enough space so that there is enough writing not to be overflowed with information. 

The logo used in all the campaign of the posters depending on the background colours is two directional arrows as this relates to the tramlines in the fact that they are making the logo look like tram lines. 

The style of the conventions that this campaign is doing is promoting the campaign of the tramlines festival and also this is to entertain the audience, 

Layout 

The layout of the two posters are very similar in the way that the text is anchored on the photograph. This is not over his face meaning that we can see who the artist is. As far as the logo goes this is clear and large at the top left of the poster. A main heading is used and more of a slogan for the company which is steel city music.

Target audience 

There is a wide range of music from this festival from rap so this festival appeals to lots of people in many ways. This is justified by the genre of music
